Halloween Fun at the Seralago Hotel & Suites

Monday, October 25th, 2010
When you visit our lobby, you’ll see eight decorated pumpkins waiting to be judged.  Eight departments here at the Seralago Hotel & Suites decorated pumpkins.  Employees from Housekeeping, Front Desk, Accounting, Reservations, Sales, Engineering, Food and Beverage  and Security had fun decorating pumpkins.  Now it’s your turn to pick your favorite.  We have ballots in our lobby and have an online survey set up for those that can’t join us at the hotel this week.

Girls Weekend Getaway - Review from TripAdvisor

Friday, October 8th, 2010

I have been going to this Hotel for 3 years now. I have referred lots of people to this hotel. For the price and location you can’t beat it. We went for Girls Weekend Getaway September 17 and 18th we had a blast and it was the first time I stayed in a suite. Very nice for the money we paid for it. They always email me.  I have them on facebook so they let me know about all the promotions going on. Now they have shuttles to Universal. Which is great because that is the only time we didn’t stay there is when we would go to Universal. Now we have no excuse.  This is really a nice, clean fun place to stay with kids or getaway.

TripAdvisor Review From One of Our Guests

Tuesday, September 28th, 2010

It’s friendly, fun, and a fantastic location

Seralago has wonderfully friendly and knowledgeable personnel. The 2 HUGE swimming pools are always clean as are the beautiful grounds that surround them. The buffet breakfast in their restaurant is wonderful and the staff in the restaurant is efficient and VERY friendly…and there’re many food options as well as ordering from their menu. The grounds are always very clean and beautiful. The location is great with their shuttle to Disney as well as other attractions…and right next to ‘Old Town’ amusement/shops/games park. There are tons of good restaurants within walking distance. It’s an amazing location…and it’s a ‘Disney Good Neighbor Hotel’ which means it has special arrangements with Disney…such as acquiriing tickets, etc. there…also arrangements can be made for other parks, shows, etc. there….It’s a WONDERFUL HOTEL and the prices are amazingly reasonable….with lots of specials for all groups of people all year….Seniors…Returning Military…Birthday and Reunion Groups…Florida Residents…AARP…AAA, etc., etc.
We HIGHLY recommend this hotel.

The pools were nice so warm just like bath water. we didnt want to leave the hotel just being in the room and pool was nice specially after going to theme park for the day it was nice to come back and relax.. tv had a few good channels not to many to choose from.We was in second building close to the back and our internet was good. We had fun in the little game room. We ate breakfast buffet one morning it was good and fresh. The cafe hamburgers was good. The pizza was very good to.I have nothing bad to say about this hotel we had a fun time and enjoyed ourselfs very much. My husband step on a gecko one morning in our room he just picked it up and put it back outside they are out side in bushes. We had to have seen around 20 of them just walking around the side walks.I dont believe any of the negatives here cause our experience was the best one. Thank you very much seralago.. Fun Spot USA getting its first roller coaster!

Friday, June 11th, 2010

Have you heard?! The Fun Spot USA located right next door to us, by Old Town, will be getting its first roller coaster! It’s called The Galaxy Spin, and it’s a 55 foot-tall “wild mouse” coaster that seats up to four people per car! This wild mouse coaster is a small roller coaster that takes tight, flat turns and averages 30 miles per hour. It will provide different experiences depending on how many people ride it at a time and how much they weigh. Those factors can cause variation in the spins and turns the cart takes.

The Galaxy Spin is the 20th ride at Fun Spot USA and it will be incorporated within the $34.95 all-rides armband. The $34.95 armband includes all of Fun Spot’s thrill rides, go-kart tracks and other attractions. A $24.95 armband includes all of the attraction’s rides except the go-kart tracks. Individual admission – three Fun Spot tickets – amounts to about $9 per ride.

This new ride is planned to open this Christmas. The folks at The Fun Spot USA will be working hard this fall. If you visit us during the fall, be sure to take a peak and check out the progress. We’ll try to walk over from time to time and take some photos to keep you updated.

Sharing what one guest had to say on TripAdvisor…

Friday, May 21st, 2010

I would like to say that if you want to stay in a hotel and enjoy the area and the activites in the Kissimmee Florida area you need to stay at the SERALAGO HOTEL AND SUITES, This place is a great place to stay with your family. The rooms are VERY roomy and you have enough room to move around the room and not have to worry about bumping into each other… They have a kitchen area in the room which is really great and a fridge and microwave for your convenience. The pool was big enough where you werent crowded, and you didnt even have to worry about having a towel they had a cabinet FULL of towels. They even had an exercise room that you could visit if you wanted a good workout and what really topped this HOTEL off was that they had a LAUNDRY ROOM where you could wash your clothes and not go home with dirty clothes.. Now that was just GREAT to have… My kids had FUN during our stay, heck they didnt even want to leave to go to disney world because they wanted to stay and swim the whole time we were there…
THANKS SERALAGO FOR THE GREAT HOTEL AND FOR THE GREAT OPPORTUNITY… SEE YOU IN THE FALL…..

Are you a Star Wars Fan?

Thursday, May 13th, 2010

Do you know about Star Wars Weekends at Disney’s Hollywood Studios? It begins May 21 and runs for 4 consecutive weekends ending June 13th. This event brings fans of all ages together as they come face to face with their favorite Star Wars characters. If you are anything like my husband and son, you’ll want to be there very, very early – between 5:30-6:00am, before the park opens to stand in line for Fast Passes to meet the celebrities.

The Star Wars Weekend event fills Disney’s Hollywood Studios with more than 50 Star Wars characters from the entire saga, including the evil Sith Darth Vader and Darth Maul, Greedo, Queen Amidala, Anakin Skywalker, R2-D2, the loveable Wookiee Chewbacca, Twi’leks, Rodians and every hero, heroine, droid and villain in between. Jedi Mickey Mouse has even been known to make an appearance. While in line for the Star Tours attraction one year, I was startled to find Darth Vader standing behind me in line! My family thought it was funny, but I have to say, there’s something about being face to face with Darth Vader! Yikes!

This year celebrity hosts will be Jeremy Bulloch (Boba Fett from Empire and Return of the Jedi) and Ashley Eckstein (Ahsoka) from The Clone Wars. The celebrity line up for 2010 is as follows:

  • May 21-23 – Temuera Morrison, Daniel Logan, and Dee Bradley Baker
Morrison played Jango Fett as well as the clone troopers in the live action movies, while Daniel Logan played Boba Fett and all the clone cadets in Episode II. Baker is the voice of all the clone troopers in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, including the ever popular Captain Rex.
  • May 28-30 – Matthew Wood, Lorne Peterson and Tom Kane
In addition to providing the rasping voice of General Grievous and his chatty battle droids, Matthew Wood is also a sound editor on the Star Wars prequels and The Clone Wars. Lorne Peterson is a veteran ILM model-maker who worked behind-the-scenes on all six Star Wars movies. Tom Kane is the voice of Yoda in The Clone Wars, and also the narrator who begins each show with a rousing introduction.
  • June 4-6 – Billy Dee Williams, Ray Park, and Dave Filoni
Williams is of course famous for his role as Lando Calrissian, administrator of Cloud City and Rebel hero. Ray Park is the energetic, acrobatic villain Darth Maul from Episode I, and Dave Filoni is the supervising director of The Clone Wars.
  • June 11-13 – Ray Park, Peter Mayhew and James Arnold Taylor
Ray Park returns for a second weekend, and he is joined by Peter Mayhew, the gentle giant behind the walking carpet – Chewbacca the Wookiee. James Arnold Taylor provides the voice of Obi-Wan Kenobi in The Clone Wars, as well as Plo Koon.

Star Wars Weekends features a variety of activities such as: “Star Wars Trivia,” with prize giveaways; “Star Wars: Jedi Training Academy,” allowing kids under 12 to hone their light saber skills and prepare to do battle with Darth Vader himself; and a motorcade featuring favorite Star Wars celebrities.

Star Wars celebrities are on hand each weekend for photos, Q&A, autograph sessions and Hollywood-style motorcades.

These Star Wars Festivities are included with regular theme park admission.
